Business Continuity Management (Business Continuity Management - BCM) provides methods that help an organization maintain operations amid disruption and crisis, from identifying risk and preparing response capability to responding and restoring operations.
In an operating environment with many volatile factors, the issue is not only whether an incident occurs, but also the organization's ability to maintain operations and recover when disruption actually happens.

Why does business continuity management become important when disruption occurs?
Business operations can be disrupted when a crisis occurs. The organization's challenge is then not only to handle the immediate situation, but also how to maintain the activities that are necessary and recover step by step.
In many organizations:
- Lack of a Plan to Maintain Operations When an Incident Occurs;
- Responses remain reactive in the face of disruptions;
- There is not yet a systematic approach to handling crises;
- Difficult to Restore Operations in a Short Time.

This affects operations and business performance directly. It is also why business continuity management needs to be approached systematically. Rather than focusing only on response once a disruption has occurred, the organization needs to understand the risks clearly, prepare the ability to respond, organize the response, and work toward restoring operations.
Program objectives
The program aims to help participants understand and apply methods for maintaining operations during a crisis.
After the Program, Learners Are Equipped to:
- Understand the continuity management approach
- Understand the 4R model (Risk - Readiness - Response - Recovery)
- Apply to real operational contexts
- Strengthen response and recovery capability.
The core point lies not only in understanding the concept of business continuity, but in forming an end-to-end approach from risk to recovery, so that learners see disruption within a systematic management process.
Content of the Business Continuity Management program
The program focuses on three main content areas:
The 4R method (Risk - Readiness - Response - Recovery): The 4R model forms the continuous thread of the program, from identifying risk and preparing readiness, to organizing the response when disruption occurs, through to restoring operations.
Maintaining Operations in a Crisis Context:The program addresses sustaining operations in crisis contexts, especially post-COVID, helping participants connect methods with the practical challenges an organization may have to face.
Designing the customer experience under disruption:Disruption poses a problem not only for internal operations. The program also addresses the design of the customer experience under conditions of disruption, widening the view from the ability to sustain operations to the customer’s experience in abnormal conditions.
The three topics are connected by a single logic: from preparing for disruption, responding when disruption occurs, and restoring operations, to considering the customer experience throughout that process.
Delivery approach
Business continuity management is truly meaningful only when learners can connect the method with situations the organization may have to face in practice.
The course is therefore delivered by combining theory with interactive practice and analysis of real disruption scenarios. Through the scenarios, trainees gradually understand how to apply the program’s content in an organizational context, rather than approaching BCM only at a theoretical level.

Value gained after the program
After the program, learners will be able to:
- Understand How to Maintain Operations in a Crisis
- Apply the 4R model in practice
- Strengthen response and recovery capability
- Minimize the impact of disruption.
The value of the program lies in helping learners shift from a mindset of reacting to disruption toward a more systematic approach, in which risk, readiness, response, and recovery are viewed as part of the same process.
Which units is the program suitable for?
The program is suitable for:
- Organizations need to prepare for disruption scenarios
- Management and operations team
- Enterprises Need to Strengthen Their Resilience
The ability to maintain operations is part of organizational capability
An organization needs to do more than operate effectively under normal conditions. When disruption occurs, the ability to maintain operations, respond, and recover becomes important to the organization's sustainability.
Each organization has its own operating characteristics and response capability. The approach to business continuity management therefore also needs to be set in the actual context, rather than applied from a single common template.
Hung Viet supports assessment of current response capability, design of a suitable plan, and adjustment to operational specifics, with the aim of strengthening the ability to maintain operations when the organization faces disruption and crisis.
